The Twister UltraClean is a commercial ultrasonic cleaning system designed to automate one of the most labor intensive parts of equipment maintenance. Instead of relying entirely on hand scrubbing, the UltraClean combines a 4KW ultrasonic system, heated cleaning solution, programmable agitation, powered lifting, circulation, and 50 micron filtration inside a 124.2 gallon cleaning system.
The large main tank is designed for substantial processing equipment and components, while a powered lifting rack can safely raise and lower loads weighing up to 220.5 lb / 100 kg. Operators control temperature, ultrasonic power, agitation, pumping, cleaning time, and lifting functions through the integrated touchscreen interface.
For lightly soiled equipment, Twister recommends a single 15 minute cleaning cycle. More difficult buildup can be addressed with multiple cycles rather than extended manual scrubbing — two 15 minute cycles for medium buildup and three to four 30 minute cycles for heavily soiled components.
Built with 304 stainless steel inside and out, the UltraClean is designed for commercial environments where repeatable cleaning, easier sanitation, and reduced hands on labor can have a meaningful effect on daily workflow.

How Ultrasonic Cleaning Works
The UltraClean’s primary cleaning method uses high frequency ultrasonic energy transmitted through liquid in the main tank. Its ultrasonic system operates at 4KW and 28kHz. The transducers generate ultrasonic pulses through the cleaning solution, creating intensive cleaning action around submerged surfaces and into areas that are difficult to reach manually.
Because the cleaning action occurs throughout the liquid surrounding the component, ultrasonic cleaning can reach openings, textured surfaces, edges, and other areas that would otherwise require substantial manual attention.
Triple Cleaning Action
The UltraClean does more than generate ultrasonic energy. During operation, three complementary processes can be used:
- Ultrasonic Cleaning: High frequency ultrasonic energy works through the cleaning solution to loosen buildup from submerged surfaces.
- Agitation: The powered lifting rack moves vertically during cleaning to create additional movement around the components.
- Circulation: The integrated pump circulates cleaning liquid through the system to support cleaning and filtration.
The control system allows these functions to be activated and managed from the operating screen. Agitation moves the lifting rack up and down while the circulation pump moves liquid through the system.
124.2 Gallon Cleaning System
The UltraClean provides a total tank capacity of 470 liters / 124.2 gallons, giving operators enough volume for substantial processing components. The effective liquid level is approximately 19.7” / 500 mm.
The main tank measures approximately 39.4” wide, 22.8” long, and 29.9” high. A separate storage tank forms part of the circulation and liquid management system, measuring approximately 13.8” wide, 22.8” long, and 23.6” high.
Powered 100 kg Lift
Handling large wet components manually can be difficult and introduces unnecessary strain into the cleaning process. The UltraClean incorporates a powered lifting rack rated for up to 220.5 lb / 100 kg.
Operators can raise or lower the rack from the control panel, with both one touch lifting for full travel and manual lift controls when more precise movement is required — allowing heavy components to be lowered into and raised out of a deep tank without manual lifting.
Programmable Agitation
The powered lifting system also functions as part of the cleaning process. When agitation is activated, the lifting rack moves vertically during the cleaning cycle, creating additional fluid action around submerged components and helping expose surfaces to the ultrasonic cleaning solution.
Agitation speed is adjustable through the control system, allowing the process to be configured for the equipment being cleaned.
Heated Cleaning Solution
Heat can help loosen stubborn contamination and improve cleaning solution performance. The UltraClean incorporates dedicated heating elements and allows operators to select a target liquid temperature from the HMI.
The three phase configuration uses 12KW heating, with an approximate heating time from 15°C to 65°C of 100 minutes. The one phase configuration uses 7.5KW heating, with an approximate heating time of 160 minutes over the same range.
7 Inch Siemens Touchscreen
The UltraClean uses a 7 inch Siemens touchscreen HMI for operation, providing direct control over cleaning time, heating, target temperature, ultrasonic operation and power level, agitation and agitation cycles, pump operation, and powered lifting.
The machine also incorporates an alarms screen that records active alarms and provides controls for muting and resetting alerts.
Adjustable Cleaning Time
Cleaning duration can be entered directly through the touchscreen. Once the ultrasonic cleaning function begins, the timer counts down until the selected cycle is complete, and at the end of the cycle the operating functions stop and the machine sounds an alarm.
This allows cleaning cycles to be standardized instead of leaving results dependent entirely on how long an individual employee manually works on each component.
Recommended Cleaning Cycles
- Light Buildup: One 15 minute cycle
- Medium Buildup: Two 15 minute cycles
- Heavy Buildup: Three to four 30 minute cycles
Large loose solids should be removed before components are loaded into the tank, and items should have sufficient space around them so ultrasonic energy can reach their surfaces.
Circulation and 50 Micron Filtration
The UltraClean continuously circulates cleaning liquid to support the cleaning process. An integrated 50 micron canister filter helps remove suspended material from the cleaning solution as it moves through the system.
This filtration system helps keep the working solution cleaner during repeated operation and gives operators a replaceable filtration component rather than allowing all removed material to remain circulating within the system.
Integrated Oil Skimmer
The UltraClean includes an oil skimming system for managing material that separates from the cleaning liquid. Dedicated drainage valves are provided for the main tank, storage tank, and oil skimmer.
The machine also includes a dedicated water inlet valve, allowing the main tank to be filled from a connected water supply while drainage lines can be routed toward an appropriate facility drain.
304 Stainless Steel Construction
The UltraClean uses 304 stainless steel for both its interior and exterior construction, providing a durable, corrosion resistant surface suited to repeated cleaning environments while also simplifying exterior sanitation.
The large stainless enclosure houses the main tank, storage system, lift, transducers, heating system, valves, filtration components, and electrical controls within one integrated machine.
Cleaning Twister Equipment
The UltraClean is designed to support the cleaning of Twister processing equipment and removable components. An optional T2 Two Set Cleaning Rack is available that organizes two T2 tumblers, two vacuum shrouds, and two brushes simultaneously.
Proper spacing remains important — overloading the lifting rack is not recommended, since components require space around them for ultrasonic energy to reach their surfaces effectively.
Cleaning Solution
Twister recommends its dedicated UltraClean Solution because it has been tested for compatibility with Twister equipment. The recommended mixture is approximately 20 parts water to 1 part cleaning agent.
Alternative cleaners can be used at the operator’s discretion, but Twister does not guarantee their effectiveness or compatibility, and caustic cleaning chemicals are specifically discouraged. Mild steel components also require additional consideration because repeated cleaning can lead to corrosion.
North American Power Configurations
Three Phase — Product number 02-10019A operates on 208V, three phase, 60 Hz, on a 60A circuit with a NEMA 15-60 connection.
One Phase — Product number 02-10030A operates on 240V, single phase, 60 Hz, on a 50A circuit with a NEMA 6-50 connection.
This distinction is important when planning installation — electrical service should be confirmed before ordering and installation.
Facility Placement
Because the UltraClean is a large commercial system, installation should be planned before delivery. Twister recommends placing the machine on level ground, in a dry, ventilated area, near the appropriate electrical connection, near a water supply, near a drain, and with sufficient clearance for side and rear service access.
The machine includes wheels for positioning and leveling feet for operation. The unit must be supported by its leveling feet during use rather than operating with its weight resting on the casters.
