HLG 250 VEG PRO Full Spectrum LED Grow Light

The HLG 250 VEG PRO Full Spectrum LED Grow Light is purpose-built for vegetative growth, combining a blue-rich spectrum, high-efficiency Quantum Board® technology and a low-profile rectangular design ideal for indoor grow spaces and vertical racks.

Two QB288 Quantum Boards® deliver 600 PPF at 2.7 µmol/J, with full spectrum white and deep red output optimized for vegetative cycles. HLG’s low-profile design lets the fixture run as close as 12 inches above the canopy, helping maximize usable growing height in space-restricted environments.

Optimized Vegetative Spectrum

Unlike a general-purpose full-cycle fixture, the HLG 250 VEG PRO is designed specifically around vegetative growth.

Its spectrum combines full spectrum white and deep red with a broad blue spectral profile, making it especially well suited to veg rooms, propagation areas and multi-tier growing systems.

Two QB288 Quantum Boards®

The fixture uses two HLG QB288 Quantum Boards® across its wide rectangular frame.

This configuration provides broad light distribution while keeping the fixture compact enough for applications where vertical space matters.

600 PPF Output

The HLG 250 VEG PRO is rated at 600 µmol/s PPF, providing substantial photon output from a fixture drawing up to 240 watts.

Independent laboratory testing measured 604.59 µmol/s across the 380–780nm range, closely supporting HLG’s 600 PPF rating.

2.7 µmol/J Efficacy

With a rated system efficacy of 2.7 µmol/J, the 250 VEG PRO delivers high-efficiency vegetative lighting with relatively low power requirements.

Independent testing measured 2.72 µmol/J across 380–780nm, supporting the manufacturer’s rated performance.

Up to 3’ x 5’ Veg Coverage

HLG rates the fixture for vegetative footprints of 2’ x 4’, or up to 3’ x 5’.

The low-profile rectangular layout is designed to provide an effective light spread at just 12 inches above the canopy, making it especially useful for vertical racks and height-limited grow rooms.

Low-Profile Design

At just 2.75” thick, the 250 VEG PRO is built for close-canopy applications and vertical rack systems where growing height is limited.

40–240W Dimmable Output

Power can be adjusted from approximately 40 to 240 watts, letting intensity be tailored to different stages of vegetative development.

The fixture supports 0–10V dimming, with wireless dimming also available.

GrowFlux Control Option

The HLG 250 VEG PRO is available with either RJ 0–10V control with a manual knob or a GrowFlux wireless control module.

A GrowFlux Access Point is required separately when using the wireless GrowFlux configuration.

RJ 0–10V vs. GrowFlux: Choosing a Dimming Option

RJ 0–10V with Manual Knob — the standard configuration, offering hands-on output adjustment at the fixture and compatibility with wired 0–10V controllers.

GrowFlux — adds a wireless control module for remote dimming and scheduling across a GrowFlux network (GrowFlux Access Point sold separately).

Passive-Cooled Design

The fixture uses passive cooling, eliminating the need for integrated cooling fans and helping maintain its low-profile form factor.

HLG also rates the fixture as suitable for damp locations.

120–277V Operation

An auto-sensing power supply supports 120–277VAC at 50/60Hz, so the fixture works across a wide range of indoor and commercial electrical installations.
