The Secret Lighting SL-830 UV/IR is a high-output, multi-channel LED grow light combining a powerful full spectrum with independently adjustable 385nm ultraviolet and 730nm infrared channels.

Nicknamed “GHOST” for its non-visible UV and IR output, the SL-830 delivers 2,374 µmol/s PPF from 830W at an efficacy of 2.86 µmol/J, with a broad 43.31” × 43.31” footprint designed for open rooms, benches, racks and grow tents.

Full Spectrum + Dedicated UV & IR

Unlike a conventional full-spectrum fixture, the SL-830 incorporates three independently adjustable spectral channels:

• Full Spectrum: Bright white output with integrated 660nm deep red
• UV: Dedicated 385nm ultraviolet
• IR: Dedicated 730nm infrared

That gives growers significantly more control over the spectral recipe than a single-channel fixture.

385nm UV Channel

Dedicated 385nm UV diodes add ultraviolet output, adjustable independently from the primary spectrum, that Secret Lighting states helps stimulate resin and terpene production.

730nm IR Channel

Dedicated 730nm IR diodes add output beyond the visible range, which Secret Lighting states helps trigger the Emerson Effect for enhanced photosynthetic performance.

Precision 3-Channel Dimming

Three independent rotary controls provide direct manual adjustment of Full Spectrum, UV and IR intensity, allowing configurations from full spectrum only to full spectrum with UV and IR, or UV or IR on their own.

The fixture uses a dual-driver architecture, with one dedicated driver for the primary full-spectrum channel and another managing the UV and IR channels.

2,374 µmol/s PPF Output

The SL-830 produces 2,374 µmol/s PPF from 830W, delivering an overall efficacy of 2.86 µmol/J. Its six-bar, open-frame design distributes that output across a broad 43.31” × 43.31” fixture footprint.

4’ × 4’ Flower / 5’ × 5’ Veg Coverage

The SL-830 is rated for a 4’ × 4’ flowering footprint and a 5’ × 5’ vegetative footprint, with a recommended mounting height of 6–36”.

Secret Lighting’s PAR maps show readings of approximately 1,215 µmol/m²/s near the center at an 18-inch mounting height, and peak readings of approximately 960 µmol/m²/s at 24 inches with a broader distribution across the mapped area.

External Control Compatible

For more advanced installations, the optional Secret Lighting Control adds centralized dimming and scheduling. With the SL-830 UV/IR, the controller supports separate full-spectrum, UV and IR channel management, along with scheduling, sunrise/sunset simulation and temperature-responsive dimming.

One controller can manage up to 250 Secret Lighting fixtures. The controller is sold separately.

Note: Because of its multi-channel control architecture, the SL-830 is not compatible with the Secret Lighting Adapt 0–10V adapter for third-party controllers.

IP65 Wet Rated

The SL-830 is IP65 wet rated, providing protection against moisture in demanding indoor growing environments.

Passive Cooling

The passively cooled architecture eliminates onboard cooling fans, reducing moving components while maintaining quiet operation. The fixture measures 43.31” × 43.31” × 3.15” and weighs 29.76 lb.

Commercial-Ready Design

The SL-830 is ETL, CE and DLC Hort certified and qualifies for applicable commercial energy rebate programs. It also carries a Q90 life rating exceeding 50,000 hours.

Choosing a Voltage Configuration

120V — for standard installations running on conventional 120V circuits (6.92A).

240V — for higher-voltage residential or commercial circuits, drawing lower current per fixture (3.46A).

277V — for commercial facilities with 277V electrical infrastructure (2.99A).
