Mars Hydro FC4800 480W Full Spectrum LED Grow Light

The Mars Hydro FC4800 480W Full Spectrum LED Grow Light is a high-output bar-style fixture designed for complete-cycle indoor cultivation in 4 x 4 foot grow spaces. Powered by Bridgelux 3030 white LEDs and upgraded OSRAM 660nm deep red diodes, it combines strong photon output, uniform canopy coverage, efficient passive cooling, and optional smart control in a professional-grade fixture suitable for both home and commercial growers.

Drawing 480 watts, the FC4800 produces up to 1,368 µmol/s PPF with a rated photosynthetic photon efficacy of 2.85 µmol/J. Its multi-bar layout distributes the diodes across the entire fixture, helping reduce central hotspots while delivering more consistent PPFD from the middle of the canopy to the outer edges.

The full spectrum combines warm white, cool white, and deep red wavelengths to support plants from seedling through harvest. Bridgelux 3030 diodes provide broad-spectrum light for vigorous vegetative growth and efficient photosynthesis, while OSRAM 660nm deep red LEDs strengthen the spectrum used heavily during flowering and fruit development.

The FC4800 is designed for maximum 4 x 4 foot personal cultivation coverage and more intensive 3 x 3 foot commercial coverage. This makes it an excellent choice for growers who want to run a complete 4 x 4 tent with one fixture or concentrate more light over a smaller production canopy.

An integrated dimmer allows light intensity to be adjusted throughout the plant lifecycle. Daisy-chain compatibility also makes it possible to control multiple compatible fixtures together. Smart functions require an optional Mars Hydro controller, which can add app-based control, automated dimming, lighting schedules, group management, and sunrise and sunset simulation.

The open bar layout and wave-shaped aluminum heat sinks dissipate heat without cooling fans. This passive design operates silently, reduces maintenance, and helps maintain more stable temperatures throughout the grow space.

Bridgelux and OSRAM LED Technology

The FC4800 combines high-efficiency Bridgelux 3030 white LEDs with upgraded OSRAM 660nm deep red diodes.

The Bridgelux LEDs provide broad-spectrum output for complete-cycle growth, while the dedicated OSRAM red diodes enhance flowering and fruiting performance without requiring a separate supplemental fixture.

Uniform 4 x 4 Coverage

The multi-bar design spreads light evenly across the canopy instead of concentrating output directly beneath the centre of the fixture.

This layout helps reduce hotspots, improve edge coverage, and support more consistent growth across an entire 4 x 4 foot personal cultivation area.

Full Spectrum Plant Lighting

The FC4800 produces a balanced spectrum using approximately 2800K to 3000K warm white, 4800K to 5000K cool white, and 650nm to 665nm deep red wavelengths.

This spectrum supports seedlings, vegetative growth, flowering plants, herbs, vegetables, and fruiting crops throughout the full growing cycle.

High-Efficiency 480W Output

With a 480 watt power draw, the FC4800 produces up to 1,368 µmol/s PPF with a rated fixture efficacy of 2.85 µmol/J.

Its output is well suited for 4 x 4 foot grow tents, while growers seeking higher canopy intensity can use it over a concentrated 3 x 3 foot production area.

Dimming and Daisy-Chain Control

The integrated dimmer allows growers to reduce intensity for seedlings and young plants, then increase output as the canopy develops.

Daisy-chain compatibility enables multiple compatible Mars Hydro fixtures to be adjusted together, making the FC4800 suitable for both individual tents and larger multi-light installations.

Optional Smart App Control

Smart functions require a compatible Mars Hydro controller.

When paired with an iConnect or iControl controller, the FC4800 can support app-based dimming, automated schedules, remote control, lighting groups, and sunrise and sunset simulation. Smart controllers are optional and sold separately.
