The EZTRIM Satellite Wet & Dry Plant Trimming Machine is a high capacity commercial trimming system engineered for controlled batch processing of freshly harvested or dried plant material. Adjustable airflow, rotor speed, blade depth, and processing time give operators precise control while helping maintain the shape and integrity of finished material.
- Dry Capacity: 30 to 50 lbs Per Hour
- Wet Capacity: Up to 45 lbs Per Hour
- Batch Cycle: Approximately 45 to 90 Seconds
- Power: 120V, 1200W Commercial System
Commercial Wet & Dry Processing
The Satellite is designed to handle both fresh and dried harvested plant material using dedicated processing configurations. Operators can adjust airflow, rotor movement, blade positioning, and cycle duration according to material density, moisture level, and desired finish.
High Capacity Batch Processing
With production capability reaching 30 to 50 pounds per hour, the Satellite provides the throughput needed for demanding commercial harvesting operations while maintaining the control of batch based processing.
Adjustable Airflow & Suction
The integrated airflow system creates controllable suction and circulation inside the processing chamber. Operators can fine tune airflow to accommodate different material weights, densities, and moisture levels.
Variable Rotor Control
Adjustable rotor speed and direction provide additional control over how aggressively material moves across the processing surface. Lower speeds reduce agitation for delicate material, while higher speeds can accelerate processing.
Adjustable Cutting Blade
Blade positioning can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the harvested material, giving operators greater control over processing while helping protect irregular or delicate material from unnecessary damage.
Controlled Batch Cycles
Short, adjustable batch cycles help prevent unnecessary processing and allow operators to evaluate results between batches. Typical cycles range from approximately 45 to 60 seconds for dried material and 45 to 90 seconds for fresh material.
Four Stage Filtration
An integrated four bag filtration system progressively separates removed plant material as it moves through the machine, helping operators organize collected material while keeping the primary finished product separate.
Food Grade Contact Materials
Components exposed to processed material are constructed from food grade 6061 aluminum, stainless steel, silicone, and nylon, making the system suitable for professional botanical processing environments.
Mobile Floor Standing Design
The Satellite is configured as a floor standing commercial unit, sized for positioning within a dedicated processing area while remaining compact enough for typical commercial trimming rooms.
Standard 120V Electrical Operation
The machine draws 10 amps and 1200 watts from a standard 120VAC, 60Hz, single phase circuit, allowing it to be installed without specialized industrial electrical infrastructure.
Recommended Operating Practices
- Read the complete owner’s manual before operating.
- Position the machine on a stable, level floor.
- Confirm the electrical circuit can support the machine’s 10 amp draw.
- Select the appropriate wet or dry processing configuration before loading material.
- Adjust airflow, rotor speed, and blade position based on material density and moisture level.
- Begin with a shorter batch cycle and inspect results before increasing duration.
- Remove large stems and foreign material before loading.
- Keep hands, tools, and loose clothing away from the processing chamber and rotor.
- Empty and inspect the four stage filtration bags regularly.
- Disconnect electrical power before cleaning or maintenance.
- Clean all food grade contact surfaces after each processing session.
Preparing Material for Processing
Before loading the Satellite:
- Remove large stems and branches.
- Inspect for foreign objects.
- Group material by moisture level, since wet and dry material should be processed using their respective configurations.
- Test a small batch first to confirm rotor speed, airflow, and blade settings.
- Adjust cycle duration based on the test results.
Setting Airflow and Rotor Speed
Begin with lower airflow and rotor speed settings, particularly when processing delicate or irregular material. Observe how material moves through the chamber and gradually increase settings as needed to reach the desired finish without excessive agitation.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Cleaning After Each Use
- Disconnect the machine from electrical power.
- Allow the rotor to stop completely.
- Remove remaining material from the processing chamber.
- Empty all four filtration bags.
- Clean the blade, rotor, and chamber surfaces.
- Wipe down food grade aluminum and stainless steel surfaces.
- Allow all components to dry completely before reassembly.
- Do not reconnect power until the machine is fully dry.
Filtration Bag Maintenance
- Empty each of the four filtration bags after every batch or shift.
- Inspect bags for tears or reduced airflow.
- Clean or replace bags according to manufacturer instructions.
- Confirm all bags are properly reattached before restarting the machine.
Blade and Rotor Inspection
- Inspect the cutting blade for wear or damage before each shift.
- Check rotor movement for smooth, consistent operation.
- Remove built up plant material from the rotor and chamber.
- Replace worn or damaged components with approved EZTRIM parts.
- Do not operate the machine with a damaged blade or rotor assembly.
Exterior Cleaning
- Disconnect electrical power.
- Wipe exterior surfaces with a lightly dampened cloth.
- Do not spray water into the motor, controls, or electrical housing.
- Do not submerge any part of the machine.
- Dry all surfaces before storage or operation.
Storage
- Clean and dry the machine before storage.
- Empty and clean all filtration bags.
- Store indoors in a dry environment.
- Protect the power cord and electrical components.
- Do not place heavy objects on the machine.
