EZTRIM Mini Plant Sorting Machine

The EZTRIM Mini Plant Sorting Machine is a compact post harvest sorting system designed to separate dried, trimmed plant material into consistent size grades without motors, vibration, or powered moving parts.

It uses interchangeable stainless steel grates and soft food grade brushes to gently guide material through three standard size categories while keeping the overall footprint compact enough for tabletop operation.

The Mini is built for smaller facilities that want repeatable sizing and faster quality control without giving up valuable floor space.

Compact Commercial Sorting

The EZTRIM Mini provides the same simple sorting approach as the larger EZTRIM system in a scaled down format that fits comfortably on a standard work table.

Its assembled footprint measures 66" L x 19" W x 19" H, making it easier to integrate into tighter processing rooms.

Up to 22 lbs Per Hour

Average throughput is approximately 10,000 grams, or 22 lbs, per hour of dried finished plant material.

This makes the Mini well suited to lower volume commercial operations that still need more consistency and speed than manual hand sorting.

Three Standard Sorting Sizes

The machine includes three standard grate sizes:

• 1/4"
• 1/2"
• 3/4"

Material is moved across the grates with soft brushes so each size range drops into its own collection tote.

Gentle Gravity Fed Operation

There are no motors or vibrating mechanisms moving the material through the machine. Instead, the system relies on gravity and manual brushing, helping reduce unnecessary agitation during the sorting process.

No Moving Mechanical Parts

The straightforward design eliminates belts, motors, and vibrating assemblies from the sorting process, reducing maintenance requirements and potential failure points.

Food Grade Contact Materials

Material contact surfaces are constructed from food grade 6061 aluminum and stainless steel, while the collection totes are made from HDPE plastic.

Tabletop Design

The Mini is designed to operate on top of a work table rather than occupying a dedicated floor station, making it a practical choice for facilities where space is limited.

Custom Grate Compatibility

In addition to the included standard grates, optional custom grates are available in additional spacing configurations for operations requiring more specific material grading.

Simple Operation

Load dried, trimmed plant material onto the first grate and gently brush it back and forth across the sorting surface. Continue moving the material through the remaining grates until each size category has dropped into its corresponding collection tote.

A Smaller Footprint Alternative

Compared with the full size EZTRIM Plant Sorting Machine, the Mini trades some throughput and grading resolution (3 sizes versus 5) for a significantly smaller footprint and tabletop operation. Facilities with lower volume or limited floor space may find the Mini a more practical fit, while operations needing higher throughput or finer size grading may prefer the full size system.

Recommended Operating Practices

• Read the complete owner’s manual before operating.
• Position the machine on a stable, level table capable of supporting its weight.
• Confirm all grates and collection totes are correctly seated before use.
• Load only properly dried and trimmed material onto the sorting surface.
• Use the soft food grade brushes to guide material gently across each grate.
• Avoid forcing material through grate openings by hand.
• Monitor collection totes and empty them before they overflow.
• Clean the system between different batches or material types as needed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Routine maintenance is simple:

• Remove remaining material from the grates and totes.
• Wipe surfaces with denatured alcohol and a clean rag.
• A pressure washer can be used for a quick rinse where appropriate.
• Allow all components to dry completely before reuse.

Grate Inspection

• Inspect each grate opening for buildup or blockage before use.
• Check grates for bending or deformation that could affect sorting accuracy.
• Confirm grates are securely seated in their designated positions.
• Replace damaged grates with approved EZTRIM replacements.

Collection Tote Care

• Empty totes regularly during operation.
• Clean HDPE totes with mild soap and water when needed.
• Inspect totes for cracks or damage.
• Allow totes to dry fully before reinstalling.

Storage

• Clean and dry the machine before extended storage.
• Remove and clean all grates and collection totes.
• Store indoors in a dry environment.
